Charles County Literacy Council Tutor and Volunteer Information |
Tutors
CCLC is committed to its tutors because they are the ones who make our program
possible. We provide free training and support, you provide
us with updates and hours, and together we work to eliminate illiteracy in
our community. If you are interested in becoming a tutor with CCLC, please contact
us.
TUTOR AND STUDENT FORMS --
Tutors - Always complete the Student Learner Goals with your student at the first tutoring session. Complete columns one and two with them (what they can do currently) compared with (what they want to be able to do); this will help develop rapport with your student as well as help both of you chart the individual progress. It is also a good tool to strengthen our ability to receive continued funding.

Volunteers
CCLC is always looking for individuals who are able to assist us in various areas including: office help; committee chairs and members; workshop planners and presenters; assistants, etc. If you would like to get involved with CCLC in one of these areas, please read about our upcoming events for our next meeting and/or contact us.
