Annual Summer CCLC Retreat

All Charles County Literacy Council active and inactive volunteer tutors are invited to join us at our annual one-day summer retreat on Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. This is the time to bring items of interest and ideas and suggestions for the agenda; we always look forward to seeing our volunteer tutors and this is a time where we can all come together in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the monthly board meetings. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. For further information and location, contact the office at ccliteracy@ccboe.com.

There will be no Board Meeting for June through August. Next Board Meeting will be held in September at the Lifelong Learning Center.

WE NEED TUTORS!

The next Volunteer Tutor training workshop will be held Tuesday through Thursday evenings October 21, 22, 23, 2008 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Lifelong Learning Center in Waldorf, MD. Pre-registration is required. To register, contact the office at ccliteracy@ccboe.com

Volunteer Tutor Workshops are normally provided twice yearly in addition to periodic tutor refresher training.

Council Meetings: On the first Tuesday of each month, September through May, CCLC holds public Board Meetings at the Life Long Learning Center in Waldorf.
